Are you ready to ride?
I'd like to announce that I resign from regular employment. I won't be trying to fit into the job market ever again, and the only jobs I will take are ones where amazing people call me and book me for my skills. It's been like that since covid anyway. In between sporadic jobs where I feel valued, I will be commenting on the current shit show we find ourselves in.
Everyone in the arts & creative industries is now under employed. Corporates are about to be next. They have no idea what's coming. There are no benefits for people who are underemployed and there is no system that helps small business owners in this country. We are taxed 40% in the dollar and meanwhile major corporations do not pay tax in this land. We have been left to our own devices in the desert island colony. Those of us in our mid-40s are overlooked, underpaid and overqualified. It's time to go on a major strike of literally everything. Opting out is on the table now.
When you live in one of the richest countries in the world of natural resources and people are living in their cars, we are in a broken timeline. No amount of political rhetoric is getting us out of this.
So, starting immediately... I'll be working on Mad Max type solutions, that can be enacted in the city while still living in the ruins of capitalism.
Think stockpiling, think trade economy, think self-sufficiency, and act as if the community is the only people who will ever support you because... that's where we are.
Currently churning out about five business ideas per day and stress testing them against the fucked economy. Most will fail. We will be moving to a cyclical cash and local economy in the future my friends. A return to craftsmanship and literally buying local cos we have to. We cannot rely on conglomerates to save us, we're aware that politicians don't care about us and while all their profit margins go up, we struggle to buy milk, bread and cheese which is now $500. PS It's now totally ethical to steal cheese from major supermarket chains. If you see someone doing it, give a nod of recognition and go about your way.
Also, the fuel crisis means that very soon driving will not be an option... the conclusion that I have for you is that...
IT'S TIME FOR EVERYONE TO BUY A HORSE. SOON, WE RIDE TOGETHER.
Please don't despair, it's about to get absolutely ridiculous and I'm going to lead the way. I cannot wait for all the systems to fall apart, because on the other side.... WE BUILD.
